Excited Emma
This may not LOOK like excitement, but Emma has been waiting for her new shirt to her new PJ's to come out of the dryer...she sat below and watched them dry....since I put them in. She is wrapped up in her "new" Madagascar blanket...both jammies and blanket I scored at garage sales in Twin Falls....for 50 cents each. I wish I could catch the excitement both girls get from getting new jammies...well, new anything actually. So, for a single dollar...I made my little girls DAY...and night. She was SOOO happy when the shirt came out...she danced, and if you know Emma...you know she squeels...its an Emma thing...she did that too ;-) Happy girl.

Happy 1st B day Abby
It was Abbys 1st Bday on the 12th. That was the day of the big accident too, so I didn't bake a cake...you can't blame me there. Abby didn't care. ;-) But she did like the cake, so much she pushed it off the edge of her high chair, hitting me and then falling to the floor...cake EVERYWHERE. So I picked it up with my hands and it was a mess. Anyway...I can't post all the pics, wish I could. But she had a great time.
She got a home made blanket from her Gma and I made a BSU tutu and Gma embroidered Boise State on a onsie and Broncos on the bum, its SO cute!!!
Anyway..Happy Abbby!!!
Air Show
We were taking a day trip on 6-13-09 to Sun Valley Idaho and we saw an airshow going on, so we stopped. This is a fully restored 1942 plane...it was cool. A lot of things were cool there.
I wished I had picassa on this computer, but I don't so can I can't post all I'd like...per collages...eh, oh well, you get the gist of things...they had classic cars there too...sooooo cool!
Stranded
Stranded...on the side of the road outside of Cheyenne WY....does the picture say it all? We were there for over an hour before the tow truck got there, then the rest of the day in Cheyenne....then, left my poor Bravada...only to pick it up days later...back tracking from ID with a flat bed.

Hey, someone out there tell Carolee to look at this picture. Carolee...thanks again for the potty seat...LOL..it worked like I'd immagined, only with that, didn't picture a Bravada with a blown engine and a flat bed tow truck to car it back to Cheyenne. Hmmm...anyhow...heck of a trip, huh? Thought you'd get a kick out of this. We were stranded on the side of the road for over an hour...in the middle of NO where....
PS...the side of the van doesn't look like that anymore. hmmm..

Okkay, no one was in Lincoln a week before...now Pauls bro, Charles lives there, Gma and Gpa and Uncle Dan were passing through....and then we were too, so COMPLETELY weird...but cool.

And yet another update....no pics.
OKay, so...where do we start?
Paul's sister totaled my van on Friday....the Bravada still doesn't work properly..we figure we are going to use it as a bargaining chip/trade in...and then use the $ the ins. gives us for the van...for which we are still negotiating/researching prices to get the highest price I can for it. Thats pending.
More pending: renters policy insurance, but GREAT NEWS....they have decided, after denying me half a dozen times...than oh, well, maybe I'm right.....and they are going to cover our damages due to the move. The bulkhead on the ABF trailer collapsed and so did our things. Hence..broken things.
The house, we are in our 4th round with it...and we've worked out most of the other silly "laundry list" things, and now its just coming to price. So...he counter bids #4 offer today, and we'll see what he comes in at. After we decide on a price, he needs around 30 days to finish the house, then it can close.
OH yeah, we can't buy a car on a loan until the house closes LOL...horror stories of people losing their lender due to that. So...we have to sit tight on the vehicles. Meanwhile, in laws are incredible gracious and generous and have let us use their cars....and house...and things...and...well, they get a gold start after all of this, lets just say that ;-)

and more updates without pics...
yeah bear with me, i dont know how to do pics yet....not on our comps.
okay, paul is working now, which is super. hes liking hanging out with his dad. he is continuing to work out and his dad and him lift together at the gym. they are making a great team, old school meets new school....
we made an offer on a house...for hte ones that know...its the big one...yeah, the ridiculously big one...it was cost efficient if you must know....seriously.;) we go for a second offer tomorrow. we are beginning to choose tile, hard wood floors, counters, etc. the house isnt done yet, which is cool, kinda like having the perks of building a house, but without the head aches. so, cross your fingers for us. its on two acres too, and near great schools, parks, stake center, walking path, super neighbors, etc. we'll post pics if we actually get it.
meanwhile, the girls are home sick...yes, even ERIE sick...Hailey started crying yesterday about it, she just wants her home back in Erie...its hard on us all...big life change. however, the girls are starting to settle down a bit...yeah, lik eit sounds like it from above, rihgt? well, they are....
me? how am I?!?! well, i dont do well with big change either, but i have to remember these are GREAT big life changes...the ones we've been working years to reap. its fun, just kinda weird being poor, living in your inlaws basement....and bidding on the hugest house you've ever stepped foot in. Our cars are on their way out too. the bravada just takes up space at this point, we are trying to figure out what to do with it. paul went and towed it back from WY...so its here, but it still needs a new motor LOL. the van..well, we've used and abused that poor van, its got 160,000 miles on it these days....we'll just have to see how far it will go. LOL, everythign is worn out at the end of gradschool....cars included. but Obama has a thing out soon you can get a hunk of cash for any car if you use it to buy a new one. we'll see...a new car?!?! whoa, taht sounds like something for adults or people with money or something. we're just poor grads lol.
anyhow...life is good, i just am continuing to try and organize things. I was proud of myself that i organized all our loans....i will wait to consolidate all those bad boys until they all stop being in deferment.... feels good to know who you owe though...lol wow that sure sounded dumb.
so, we miss erie, but on the upside, the lack of humidity is DIVINE!!! And my hair is nice without it too! It has yet ot be hot enough for pool days...but those days will come soon enough. the girls and i have been having fun with projects too.
ABBY will turn ONE tomorrow...that blows my mind!!!! Remember when she was born!?!? I made her a BSU outfit. I made one of those tu-tus with blue and orange, and my mom in law embroidered "boise state" on the chest, adn "broncos" on the bum...SO cute! we did some other projects too... And yes, she still doesn't exactly crawl...but shes a Master Scooter! And walking? um, no. Standing at least you ask? Um..briefly. I think its just that typical 3rd child syndrome. She seems pretty healthy to me.
And the kids got to play with cousins too, thats awesome. I guess thats why we moved out here, so we could create those bonds and ties with family, that we really didnt have before..
Well, I am starting to feel like its a journal entry, lol, so I'll stop, but just know we are alright, safe, happy, and we're getting thigns done. Things will settle down at the end of the summer, maybe we'll get a pic up by then LOL.
PS..to those of you who actually read down this far.....I want to thank everyone who helped us move.....it was such a huge ordeal. Your service was MUCH appreciated!!!!

Updates from the Dickinson Fam
OKay, so I don't know how Paul got any pics up....he's amazing I guess.
But theres a lot going on. I think we've seen any house in Jerome we'd live in....and I think its coming down to the huge one....6500qft......5000 without the basement (will be unfinished). It sits on a 2 acre lot next to a nice grade school and park. The stake center is right there too. It comes with awesome neighbors with young kids too. Nice. We are pre-approved for it. Did I mention it isn't finished yet? Granite, tile, etc...and I can choose all that, which is great. Its just a lot of negotiation...we'll see how it all pans out.
Both cars died on the way here....the Bravada is making it back on a flat bed tow as I type. Long story...perhaps a whole 'nother blog entry. Anyhow, the hosp. board is having some stupid meeting on tuesday to make sure its okay if Paul works there..DUHHHh he's already hired. Anyway, long story, it will work out, just totally annoying.
oh and PAUL PASSED HIS BOARDS!!!! Yeah for Paul!~~! Yeah for US! So thats good.
We are camping out at the inlaws and hangin' in there.
Thats about it, I got a run down of all the grad school loans today, that makes me feel better.
Anyhow...gotta run, its my turn to fix dinner tonight!!
