Okay Aunty, you're right, we need an update. Unfortunately, I don't have new pics of the kids....Sorry. I know, the house stuff is getting boring...only...its the biggest thing going on here...and every day I have to do something to ready the construction of it.
So, lets break it on down:
Kids:
Hailey: is still Hailey, but still thinks she can fix the van. She also misses Erie time to time and gets weepy. She is on the verge of getting sick, so we are trying to have to take it easy. Health Insurance has not gone through yet....pending (just like everything else).
Emma: Whoa Emma is getting tall. She's just a tiny bit shorter than Hailey. Her communication is great, but her temper remains the size of Texas. Her and Hailey fight all the time....but what sisters don't right? She is also a HUGE helper...I love that.
Abby: Oh Miss Abby is getting big too...we keep thinking shes a baby cause she doesn't crawl or walk yet (13mos), but the truth is, shes rapidly growing into that toddler...she has a very capable mind if you can understand her...and she KNOWS what she wants....and Lord help you, if you don't give it to her ;-) She's sweet, cuddly, gives hugs and kisses, takes great care of her dollies (yes...you heard me) and remains a Mamas girl.
Paul: is working hard...he's getting the hang of things, but its like any new profession, it takes time to ease in. He's doing well with handling the stress and continues to be an incredible husband and father. Oh, and he's getting a great tan.
Me: Well, I'm still the captain....I was hoping I could kind of share that a little more, but I guess the time for that isn't here. Sooo..I am constantly busy, stressed and there isn't enough hours in the day. I organize the house...which is A LOT....I also try to catch deals to furnish it...as we haven't much....at all. On almost a daily basis I work with insurance (pick a kind, any kinda....Health, House, old car...), On almost a daily basis I work with the builders as well. I shop, clean, tend children and attempt to keep my sanity...sometimes it doesn't work as well as I like. ;-)
The family: Well, we have taken several vacations..the next one is Yellow Stone...we have arranged a pop-up trailer to pull behind the truck. It should be fun. We will head off next week. We are doing okay, its hard to be your normal family, when nothing else is normal for us...so we try, but its stressful on all of us. We can't wait to get into our new home. Then the next thing will be vehicles. In-laws have been incredibly generous and are letting Paul and I have vehicles to drive in the mean time.
The House:
Okay, stupidly enough, discrepancy of the address...LOL...I'm sure that will sort out. Too much to explain...has to do with city vs county and the streets. The concrete man was out yesterday and they are going to do a fluted kind of design, which will look really sharp with the river rock. We still do NOT have hardwoods ordered...a lot of crap with the stairwells and cost, and the finishing of them, etc. Its a mess, a stinking MESS. Meanwhile, they have started to lay tile down, and it looks great. No cabinets yet anywhere. The plans for everything look great, but still need to draw a sketch on what I want the fireplace to look like. The carpet has been ordered too. And so have the appliances...we are trying to figure out if we can afford the fridge to go with the set. Hmmm...dunno. black fridges go with everything right?
Cars: theyre dead. one was sold off as parts (totaled van) and the other sits in my in laws driveway....it will either be traded in as "cash for clunkers" (4500 credit on a new car) OR we'll drop another engine in it. We still can't decide. Darnit.
Well, theres the updates...I need to go take care of my kids.....Paul says I need to do something fun with them today. What...going back and forth to the storage unit, bill paying and errand running....isnt FUN!?!?!?!?
This is a test
