Christmas morning

Coal in your stocking.....

Paul placed "coal" in their stockings...we called them rocks...because they don't know what coal is. And we don't have coal...but we did have rocks. So, Paul told the girls if they were naughty they get rocks in their stockings, so just to remind the girls they should be good...Paul put 2 rocks for Emma and 2 rocks for Hailey at the bottoms of their stockings. Hailey got it that they were because she was naughty....on the other hand, Emma was excited for her rocks. She held them up and was so happy. I wish I had a pic of it. Anyway.....they got more toys in their stockings than rocks...and again reminded them they need to be good all year 'round ,cause Santa is always watching.

Lunch with Santa

Hamot (Paul's main clinical local.) hosted a lunch with santa at the new Bay Front convention center...it was so nice, the view, the decorations, etc. This is our official santa pic this year...again, not impressive, however, we DID keep with tradition. Hailey was so excited to see Santa, and then...when the time came...she didn't talk to him, and wouldn't sit on his lap. Come on....even EMMA sat on his lap........ PS...the reason I'm in there is to hold Hailey in the pic...to say we did it and have proof...hence this pic ;-) ...you can tell she's so happy.

Don't look too closely here...but she looks like she's been in a brawl... She decided to pair up with a partner in crime and use a pool table as a boat (really, thats what they were doing)...Hailey did not fair well in the storm evidently....goose-egg-bruise on left forehead (is actually raised) and split/abraided lip. Nice eh? Kids will be kids..... Oh yeah...something about the pic...um, Hula Hailey!!! lol

Now..I know this is the family blog...buts its also the most frequented. I actually READ the paper today...instead of just picking out the deals and coupons and discarding the rest. So listen up....this is interesting stuff....(and they have stats....and you know how I love that.)

*The market is down..duh

*PA is getting more and more dumb (science scores...oh they're bad!) (big statistically layout..LOVE it!)

*To fix that trend, they may (get this...) make it so the lowest score a child can get, EVEN if they don't do the work AT ALL...is a 50%. It is designed to help the kids who may have had "one" bad score. Um...excuse me!??! Does no one see what a pathetic idea this is? They are indeed looking into changing the policy...as to say "its okay if you don't do you work, we'll cover ya...go head, be dumb and lazy...its Pittsburgh after all..." Oh...so frustrated they would even think of that... I could blog all day about it..

* There are PIRATES...yes...really...go read about it. I don't know if they had bandannas or flags with skull and crossbones...or exclaim 'arrrr".....but they are, indeed modern day pirates on a boat...stealing' and threatening other boats with guns and all...near India. Wow.

*Everyone's on food stamps...and its increasing. Great statistics...go check it out.

* The gov hasn't been issuing Vet's Widows the assistance they were entitled to over the years...gee, thanks for helpin' out Grandma guys.

* On Oregon, a bomb killed 2 people in Well Fargo. Theres more to the story...its worth the read too.

*More turbulance in Russia.

* Oh, there's an ol' boat they found at the bottom of a nearby lake...very interesting!! Worth the read I thought. "1800's shipwreck"

*"Hope shines on"...interesting it talks about the real meaning of Christmas and the ever so prominent economic depression. Only ((heres the kick)) They use the Lords name in vien. Yeah. Serious. Hmmm....

*And other random things...you know, woman sets fire to mans belongings....you can name a turtle or bat after you...etc. Ya know, the norm ...

Okay, there's your breakdown for Sundays paper.....usually its lame...I'm not one of those who sits down and reads the paper...but THIS Sunday Paper is actually worth sitting down and reading. So go read it......
